Second away win completes BH weekend
Kasun Bodhisha Hartlepool enjoyed a double success at the weekend against Marske and Great Ayton.  Danny Evans 64* was top scorer  at Marske and Neil Coverdale batted through against Great Ayton.  Callum Prosser and Marc Symington had excellent returns with the ball in both matches.  Report and pictures from both matches

Danny Evans used all of his experience to guide Hartlepool to a well deserved 7 wicket win at Marske.  He scored 64*

Kasun Bodhisha - the Sri Lankan professional made his debut for Hartlepool away to Marske

At 120 for 2 Anthony Fawcett makes a vital breakthrough to trap Chris Allinson for 63 with Marske threatening to build a sizeable total.  This proved to be a pivotal moment in the balance of the match.  Callum Prosser and Marc Symington each took 4 wickets with Fawcett claiming 2 wickets in a good fightback.

After the early loss of Neil Coverdale (who got a beauty on debut) it was up to Jack Wilkinson (48)and Kasun Bodhisha (31)to steady the ship.  After Bodhisha was caught Danny Evan then took the fight to Marske in partnerships with Wilkinson and Symington 39* to see Hartlepool home for a welcome first victory of the season  Marske v Hartlepool Premier League

Neil Coverdale bounced back from his disappointment on Saturday to play a match-winning innings against Great Ayton.  He remained unbeaten and shared a big partnership with Kasun Bodhisha.  Hartlepool won both matches at the weekend to give everybody at the club a great boost.

Hartlepool 2nds also recovered from a poor performance on Saturday to record an easy win against Redcar IIs.  Kevin Peek with 6 wickets did the most damage after a lively opening burst from Adil Ahmad and Jonathan Mitchell had Redcar batsmen hopping around.  Tom Gavin and Peter Rhoden the both looked in great form as they scored the bulk of the runs for Hartlepool to race to victory in quick time.
