The batting and bowling stats reflect a season of poor results to date but at this stage all that matters is gaining sufficient points to remain in the Premier League.  After that the club can re-assess its position after the decision not to retain Thara or Michael as professionals for 2009.

One positive sign in recent weeks has been the improving form of Alan Tebbett.  He has started to display more of his attacking ability with the bat and hopefully his confidence will grow and he can push on and play a more significant role in coming seasons.

So Northallerton at home and Billingham away will decide the fate of the club in the relegation battle and all supporters of the club will be wishing the players well in both matches.

The semi-final of the Saunders Cup will be played against Philadelphia on Monday Night.  If successful the final will take place on Sunday 14th September.

The 3rds managed half a match away to Marske where they were bowled out for 155 when rain prevented any further play.
