Chance to reflect on a wet weekend
By Freelancer - June 22 2008
After the washouts of Wednesday and now Saturday againsts Billingham Synthonia there is little cricket to comment upon in mid-summer. Hopefully the 3rds will play today against Thornaby to give cricket fans their weekend fix. >
New Page 1
There was cricket on Thursday and Friday. The 3rds lost heavily away to Stokesley and on Friday the seconds lost to Division 1 team Middlesbrough in the Robinson Cup.

However there is very little more detail I can report as I don't have access to the scores for either game. So perhaps it is time to call upon a 2nd team and 3rd team correspondent to give the public an account of their matches.

So here is the plan. If somebody is willing to e-mail team reports from any match I will arrange to publish them and link in any scorecards on play-cricket site. I would suggest sending word documents to a dedicated e-mail address

Match Report Contact

So if we have any takers out there get reporting.

One match did not take place but should still result in a victory. Saltburn 2nds conceded the Division 2 match because they couldn't raise a team. So 20 points without playing. Time for the league to worry when clubs are failing to field 2 teams on a Saturday.

That picture is so eerie is it Park Drive?

Looks more like a scene from 'Scooby Doo'
