General Information

 

  1. Seven competitions will be held (weather permitting).
  2. Prelim classes will be split into OPEN, RESTRICTED & JUNIOR sections.

JUNIOR: 16 yrs & under. Age will be taken at beginning of series.

RESTRICTED: Competitors must have no BHS/NVQ Horse Care Qualifications OR to have ridden at Affiliated Dressage or Horse Trials on any horse.

  1. Series to be run to British Dressage Rules.
  2. Closing date for entries will be one week before day of competition.
  3. Entry fee: £8 for all classes. Late entries will be accepted fee £10 & must be paid prior to day of competition. Credit card & switch payment available for telephone entries. Payment by credit card or switch please add £1 administration fee per transaction.
  4. Entries to: MC Equestrian Events, Blue House Farm, Dalton Piercy Back Lane, Claxton, Billingham, TS22 5PW. Cheques payable to: MC Equestrian Events. 
  5. Withdrawls – refunds or transfers will only be agreed 48 hrs prior to the competition.
  6. Times obtainable on 01429 871637 or 01429 870788 between 7 & 9 pm on Sunday prior to competitions or collected from website www.bluehousedressage.co.uk
  7. Location: from A19 take the A689 towards Hartlepool. Follow A689 for approx 2 miles. Turn left for Dalton Piercy. Competition 1 mile on the right.

Class CT A:                  Dressage – enter class 1: Prelim Level

                                                Jumping – fences not to exceed 50 cm

 

Class CT B:                  Dressage – enter class 3: Prelim Level

                                                Jumping – fences not to exceed 80 cm

 

Class CT C:                  Dressage – enter class 4: Novice Level

                                                Jumping – fences not to exceed 95 cm

 

Entry Fee: Enter Dressage Test £8 plus Jumping Phrase  £4

To be run to British Dressage Combined Training Rules:

First Refusal:               4 penalties

Second Refusal:           Elimination

Knockdown:                 4 penalties

Fall Horse or Rider:     Elimination

 

During jumping phase, a hard hat of BSI standard must be worn or alternatively a PAS5015.

We recommend riders wear a body protector for the jumping phase.

Practice fences must not exceed the maximum height of the fences in the competition arena.
