30 Year Old Colts

A few of the lads I played Colts with have been kicking this idea around for awhile now and we've decided to try and have some kind of get together to celebrate the fact that we are all becoming "Old Farts" this year and turning 30.

The general plan so far is to have some sort of match (20 mins each way against weak opposition) followed by drunkeness.

The proposed date is the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend and the event has been provisionally pencilled into the club diary with the possibility of arranging a traditional Colts Dinner with Chris Collins doing fantastic MC'ing, guest speakers and all that guff if we get the numbers.

Anyone who played colts and is aged 30 at Rovers is welcome to play, we've had about 10 definite names so far including such superstars as Ian Drummond (subject to contract), Martyn Weston and the legend that is Bamber.

The lads that played Colts that season include:

John O'Neill
Simon Thomas
Mark Lawson
Matthew Barker
Chris Nicholson
Stuart Dixon
Ian Drummond
Carl Robinson
Andrew Arnell
Gareth Pugh
Chris Bird
Ralph Michael Anthony Bainbridge
Jimmy Campbell
Martyn Weston
Graham Striker
Mark Briggs
Graeme Bulmer
Gavin Dobson

....and a few extras whom I've probably forgotten (and are welcome to throw their names into the pot).

Anyone else fancy this, remember the names of anyone who I've missed or have contact details for some of these lads?
