Hartlepool travel to Barnard Castle in D&N 2 league game. “Barney” are currently in 4th place, winning 3 out 4 games with only loss was against early pace setters Blyth, who triumphed 32-14 at Demesnes playing fields.
Tomorrow Pool make 1 change in the backs to the side that beat Whitby 24-16 last week. The change sees, try scorer last week, Liam Lester failed to shake off a stomach injury and will miss the game on Saturday, however Mathew Sprintall who has had a number of fine games for the second XV, starts at full back with Brian Osland moving to favoured left wing spot. Dave Chester plays on the right wing with centre pairing of Ian Mulvihill and captain Jason Norman in the centre. Kegen Thomas once again will lead the side from stand off and his partnership with Chris Williamson is an important one. Williamson is having a fine season and more of the same is required tomorrow.
The forwards remain en-bloc and will be looking to take the game to Barnard Castle and supply clean ball for the speedy backs.
