I am pleased to announce the Veterans Squad have secured the services of the ‘SCS’ Management Team for the forthcoming match.

0bviously, this amalgamation of managerial talent has now made the veteran’s squad the envy of all of the clubs senior teams and rumors are rife that the committee members have called for an emergency meeting, in order to look at fast tracking the talented threesome; possibly to a 1st team role.

The Jury is out, we will have to wait and see……

The International Rugby Board has announced today that they have appointed Hartlepool born Paul Finken, as referee for the prestigious clash between H.R.F.C Veterans and Cleveland Fire Service.

The match, billed by many as 'the game of the season', is surely to be the highlight of 'Young' Finken's refereeing career to date.
In an exclusive interview with the Peterlee Star, Paul was quoted to say "I am over the moon, its a great honour to referee so many stars and players that I admired from the terraces as a child. I'm hoping to get a few autographs and to top things off hopefully get former Irish international Patrick 'fitzy' Fitsgeralds shirt".

Paul will be assisted on the touchlines by Lee 'finbar' Saunders and Gary Bragman. The trio of officials will all need to be at there best due to the record amounts of cheating and moaning that has been predicted.

I have witnessed the famous switch, switch, switch, switch move.
After some impressive dispalys in the darts league, Dave is pushing for a place in the starting XV, unfortunately, Steve is only 39 and a half.
