Joyce passed away earlier today at the age of 86. A tremendous character and hard worker for the club, both before and after she and Reg lived in the USA, she was still being asked about by visiting Alicadoos who remembered her cooking and straightforward charm. Our sympathies to Steve and Susan and to Andy whose current efforts for the first team would have made his grandparents proud.
Funeral details to follow.

Very sad news, it was a privilege to know her as a friend and a joy to have worked with her on the ladies committee, her cheese scones were the best ever and she always made us smile with her boast that her flans never had "soggy bottoms" She will be sadly missed.

Joyce was a treasure, and was a great loss to us all when she took I'll. She entertained us with her stories and fed us with her treats - but she never did share her secrets for her scones or her pastry.

I had the honour of visiting Joyce a few times in recent years and although she was a shadow of her former self - she still had a glint in her eyes and a gentle smile.

Rest easy lovely lady - I told you Reg was waiting for you 💕
