'The much lighter West pack was far better technically pushing their illustrious rivals round the park.'

I thought Peter Robinson's speech at the Ams Dinner was excellent and it looks like all the hard work done in training has paid off. An excellent start - can't wait for the Northern game.

Thanks for the report, DP. Almost as good as El Pedro!

Very pleasant surprise this result and very well done to the lads and their coasches.

Good to see Blaydon acknowledging they were beaten by "a strong West Hartlepool."
Must keep on working hard in training and in games. Do the Staggeroos have a game this week?

In the semi-final we travel to the winners of the Westoe v Durham City tie which will be played this Thursday.
Billingham v Darlington in the other semi. Semis to be played sometime next year depending on what kind of winter we get.

Westoe beat City last night [the scoreline seems a secret for some reason] so we'll be playing them sometime next year in the semi.
