Hartlepool Council are running an excellent event on December 5th which may be of interest to our various coaches.
Its at the Sixth Form College between 6 and 9 p.m and costs £10, Contact to book a place.

They have now secured as guest speaker the man behind the Team GB rowing success at the Olympics:

James Harris, Talent Development Coach for GB Rowing Team
James started coaching in 2008 after graduating from Durham University and in December 2009 began working for the GB Rowing Team's Development programme called 'Start' as a Talent Development Coach in the North East. He has a string of successful athletes including:
• In 2010, coached U23 Lightweight Men's Double Scull to silver at the U23 World Championships
• In 2011, coached Kat Copeland at the U23 World Championship to a Gold medal and a world’s best time in the Lightweight Women's Single, and at the Senior World Championships where she came 5th.
• In 2012, coached Kat Copeland through to winning Olympic trials, where she then went onto win the Olympic Gold in the Lightweight Women's 2x under the guidance of the lightweight women's performance coach.
• Coached the Women's 8 at the U23 World Championships finishing 4th and had an athlete from Tees RC in the Junior World Championships team.

James has a great experience to share with fellow Coaches, Leaders and Volunteers!
