Well done to the Stags. Another horrible night so afraid I missed this one as well.
Perhaps the Pyman games could be held in the winter so we have better weather?
ok i am repeating myself but this is a serious point>>if both finals had been played at Rovers more people would have been able to watch them including me>>the covered stand and floodlights would have been of great help>>>
I'm sorry your Grandstand doesn't have a roof, unlike ours. You have covered terracing that I think you'll find the roof was paid for from the money we gave you when we played there.
Shame west couldn't put a true side on, half the first team to play a side that are leagues under them, and as for the bucks beating the seaton 2nds, pretty sure that was the majority of the stags!
I don't care what side played, it was a good game in rubbish conditions.
We were unlucky to lose our 10, 12 and 13 so early in the game, that really shook things up as we had to play two forwards in the backs which wasn't ideal. But we still competed all the way.
You guys probably deserved to win in the end but not by such a margin, doesn't really tell the story as we were ahead for almost all of the match.
Good stuff anyway, well done on winning the cup and the cup shaped shield and best of luck for next season.
I was in the pub on tuesday when a seaton ex player said to me we would probably play the first team.He wouldnt take it on board when I told him its not what West do.Mind he is ignorant most of the time arnt u Eddy !
The facts are that all but 3/4 HAVE played in the 1st team over the season.Every club needs a SQUAD end of
Just ignore the stupid comments. The Seaton lads have come on here and put their names to their comments and are not whingeing.
Seaton have come on loads this season and it says something when they are in both finals.
Good luck next season lads and well done to the Stags
I hadn't realised that Seaton had lost three of their backs - that is a setback. They had their chances: the replacement winger that came on had a chance with a kick he did well to gather in the 2nd half and the No 8 was only stopped by an absolutely brilliant tackle by Zac in the first half.
It was a very competitive game in the conditions and I was impressed with Seaton and good luck to them next season. Think Dan Charlton shows what a decent set of lads they are - and I agree, the score does not really tell the full story.

This is not a bite, the first team has used 37 players this season, thats two and a half teams, so you are going to get some of those 37 in the second team I suggest.
37 used in the first team, that seems like an awful lot to me.Would be interesting to know what that figure was for other teams in the league!!! Makes the seasons results even better I reckon. Well done for stepping in all those who were not in the "most used". It is a tribute to our depth of playing talent and must have something to do why Stags and Bucks regularly put it over the second and third teams of clubs even in higher leagues ( e.g. Westoe, Blaydon) and of course now Darlington Mowden Park. Tyndale an obvious exception this year.Well done everyone who put their efforts into the club in all respects, down the age groups most included as this is Wests future.
